Lionel Lofton

Lionel Lofton likes working in a variety of medias, although he is best known as a printmaker he also works regularly in acrylic, watercolor, pencil and collage. Sometimes he works in two or three different media at the same time. Through out his diverse works he bears his soul. "As an artist, many times I create what I feel I think and see in the world around me." Explaining Lofton, a native Houstonian whose art has been sold across the United States. "It is often times a window onto canvas. What you see in everything I do is a very small piece of my being." Lofton studied art at Texas Southern University, Prairie View A&M University and University of Houston Clear Lake. Lofton holds a bachelor from Prairie View and a Masters from University of Houston Clear Lake. The award wining Artist's works have been shown in major galleries and exhibits across the U.S.
